The CLC INITIATIVE is a nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming the lives of seniors by providing dignified, debt-free housing within sustainable, environmentally protected communities. We believe that every senior deserves a secure home and a thriving community where they can age with dignity and purpose. Our mission is to break the cycle of housing insecurity and create intergenerational neighborhoods where seniors and younger generations build meaningful connections and support one another.
Through our innovative programs including Natural Homes, community land trust initiatives, and the Sweat Ledger program, we empower volunteers and community members to actively participate in building, restoring, and stewarding resilient communities. By combining sustainable environmental practices with inclusive community development, we are creating a gentry-free future where all generations can thrive together, free from the burden of housing debt.

Natural Homes
Innovative, sustainable thermal efficient housing solutions designed specifically for low income seniors, built with environmentally conscious materials and methods that reduce environmental impact while providing comfortable, dignified living spaces.
Community Land Trust
A community-based approach to housing that removes land from the speculative market, ensuring long-term affordability and stability for seniors while preventing gentrification and preserving community character.
Sweat Ledger Program
An innovative volunteer engagement program that empowers community members to build, restore, and steward housing and community spaces, creating meaningful connections while reducing construction costs and building community ownership.
